Horses currently in the DCR Stable

VINOVIO is a 6 year old gelding by the Indiana sire SKYDANCER HANOVER.  We acquired him via a "claim" on August 11, 2018. He took his life time mark of 1:51.4 just 2 weeks earlier. He is particularly "quick" off the gate often posting first quarter times of nearly 26 seconds. He is a great addition to the team.

Update: VINOVIO set a new Lifetime mark of 1:51.2 in his 3rd start for us then won again 3 starts later!

Year-end update: VINOVIO made 17 starts for the DCR team in 2018 earning a check 14 times, including 4 wins, and earning over $43,000!

VINOVIO missed a couple check in Jan '19 but with 2 wins in Feb. he is definitely back on his game.

JJ TANNER joined the DCR stable in early March 2019. He is a 5 yo , gelding, pacer by ARTICULATOR. With a lifetime mark of 1:52.3 at Northfield Park and nearly $75K earned last year, he certainly knows his way around the half-mile oval. We look forward to having this quality addition on our team.

Excited to be able to add ADIOS MAN to our stable! As a 4 year old, he checks in as the youngest of the team. But with 36 starts last year where half of those were either a win or a 2nd place, he certainly is not inexperienced! He is an Ohio bred, bay gelding who will complement the rest of the team very well.

Update: In mid-June ADIOS MAN suffered a tendon injury. He will need some extended time off to recover. So he is currently not racing.

SUPER PAC HANOVER  is a 4yo gelding pacer who took his lifetime mark of 1:52.2 in April. He earned $58k in 29 starts last year.  Excited to be able to acquire this young, quality racehorse with a "lot of upside" for our stable.

Update: He wins his first start for us!!

GET ROCKIN is a 7 yr old pacer who joined our stable the first of June 2019. We are excited to have him as the latest addition. He is a mid-level "claimer" that appears to be on the upswing. He is an Indiana bred, bay, gelding; his life-time mark is 1:53.2.

Horses Previously in the Stable

BROOKLYNITE just joined DCR Sept 29, 2018. We were fortunate to acquire him from a claiming race at Dayton. He is a 5 year old bay gelding by SOMEBEACHSOMEWHERE. BROOKLYNITE scored a win in his first start for the DCR team!

Update: While he was claimed away after only 4 starts, he was a lucrative contributor for our members.

AMERICAN SCHNAPPS is a 4 yr old gelding by American Ideal who joined the DCR stable the last day of May 2018.

Update: After 15 starts for the DCR team, AMERICAN SCHNAPPS was claimed away in late Oct. 2018.

SHIFT RIGHT is a 6 year old , bay, gelding that we were fortunate to acquire in Feb 2018. He was claimed away in December. SR made 27 starts with the DCR stable and raced for us on all 4 of the Ohio tracks. With 2 wins, 2 2nd's, and 5 3rd place finishes he earned just north of $17,000 over the 10 month period. He is a nice sound racehorse.

BIG GREEN TRACTOR is  a 8 year old, pacing horse we’ve owned since 2014.  He set his lifetime mark of 1:51.1 at  Scioto Downs. He is a popular and classy competitor.

After over 4 years in our stable, the hard decision was made to sell BGT. We got him as a 3 yo and of his 164 career starts, 140 of them were with us. Best wishes for him and his new owners.

WATERSIDE CHAMP is a well-known, veteran “claimer”; he is a solid and sound, now an 11 year old gelding, who took his life-time mark of 1:51.2 in Oct, 2018! We  claimed him in early November, '18 and are excited to have the chance to race this guy.  Update: after a pretty lucrative stint with us and 18 starts he was claimed away in early April '19. But we claimed him back the next week. Then lost him that first start back. So goes the "claiming" business.

TWO BEAT is a 6 year old gelding pacer by WESTERN TERROR. We just claimed him at Northfield in mid-April.  He seems to be talented but a little crazy and unpredictable. Drew outside posts his first 3 starts with us; yet to see what he can do. Forth start from pp10  same result.....but he was claimed away. This was probably not the right horse for us. Good luck to new connections!
