While everyone in the business is used to the “ups and downs” it is still less fun in the down months. June wasn’t so hot for DCR. We made 16 starts with 5 different horses, had no wins and hit the board only 3 times. Purse earnings were a third as much as last month.
Our new claim, GET ROCKIN, is not living up to expectations. ADIOS MAN sustained a tendon injury, probably in his last start on June 11th, and will be needing extended time off to assure proper healing.
And that famous “racing luck” seems to be on an extended summer vacation.
On the brighter side: excited to welcome 4 new members to DCR group this past month!
It is always great to share time at the track with family. You'll notice one of our grand-daughters is waiting patiently for her turn a win picture. Maybe in July, Sweetheart!

A sincere "Thank You" to all our members, fans, supporters, and hard working care takers, for helping make May another good month for Dream Catcher Racing:
The DCR stable made 15 starts with 5 horses; earned 10 purse checks; had 3 wins, 2- 2nd place and 3- 3rd place finishes. We raced at Northfield several times (7), but have now transitioned to primarily racing at Eldorado Scioto Downs.
ADIOS MAN came on strong this month; VINOVIO continues to show his talent; and JJ TANNER is steadily improving his consistency. TWO BEAT wasn’t the right horse for us; good luck to his new connections. We were excited to purchase SUPER PAC HANOVER at the May mixed sale. He impressed with a win and a third his first two outings. And finally, we just claimed GET ROCKIN on June 1st; excited about this one too!
Of the 5 horses currently on the DCR team, there are still Basic Ownership shares available in ADIOS MAN and GET ROCKIN.
One of the highlights of the month had to be Memorial Day at Scioto. We had a win and two thirds and a great turn-out of members and supporters to join us in the winner’s circle when ADIOS MAN set a new lifetime mark.
And finally just a reminder to use our Racing page and Scorecard to keep up on entries and results.
